Frequently Asked Questions

How does Indexly achieve a 90% success rate in indexing pages across multiple sites?

Search engines like Google, Bing, and Yandex have built advanced interfaces to help websites get indexed. Bing uses IndexNow, while Google offers its own Web Search Indexing API. At Indexly, we seamlessly connect with these official indexing APIs, ensuring your pages are submitted efficiently and indexed — delivering reliable, high-success indexing across all your sites.

How does Indexly index more than 200 pages per day on Google?

Google uses a dedicated service account to index 200 pages per day. To index 400 pages or 600 pages per day, Indexly utilizes 2 or 3 service accounts. These service accounts act on your behalf within Google to index pages.

I read that Google's Indexing API only indexes recruitment pages. Is this still the case?

Yes Google APIs were solely available for the purpose of quickly indexing and updating recruitment pages. However, recently this has changed. Google summarize their API this way, "Notify Google Web Search when your pages are updated."

How long does it take to index pages?

From our experience, pages are often indexed within the first 24 hours after submission—and in many cases, even within just a few hours! While the exact timing is ultimately determined by Google’s algorithm, you can maximise your chances with confidence. Our SEO audit tools help you scan and optimise your pages for any issues before submitting them for indexing, ensuring they’re fully ready to be discovered.

Will the indexed pages show on Google Search Console instantly?

Google Search Console (GSC) may take a little time to update its indexing report. This means newly submitted and indexed pages might not show up immediately—but don’t worry! Indexly keeps you fully informed by sending email reports showing which pages have been submitted and when they are successfully indexed. You’ll always know the status of your pages, hassle-free.

Why does Indexly requires the service account to have Owner permissions?

Granting Owner permissions ensures the service account can perform its tasks seamlessly and efficiently. While this level of access may seem broad, rest assured, it is only used to submit page indexing requests and check the status of those requests. These service accounts cannot be used to log in to Search Console.
